Ariel Ballester nació en Buenos Aires, Argentina en 1977
Estudio fotografía en la Escuela de Arte Fotográfico y Técnicas Audiovisuales de Avellaneda, Argentina.
En el 2005 realizo un taller documental con Chris Steele-Perkins (Magnum Photos).
El mismo año participo en la realización del documental Mundo Aparte, realizado en el centro penal de jóvenes la trinidad Barcelona.
En el 2007 realizo un taller de fotografía contemporánea con Ignacio Iasparra.
Durante 2000, 2001, 2002, 2007, 2008 compartió la cátedra Historia de la fotografía con el profesor Daniel Galeano en la escuela Arte Fotográfico y Técnicas Audiovisuales de Avellaneda. En 2008 hizo suplencias como docente en la cátedra historia de la fotografía en ARGRA (Asociación de Reporteros Gráficos de Argentina) escuela.
Es docente de fotografía y director del proyecto Ojo de Pez a partir de una propuesta del Centro Conviven.
Es docente de Artes Visuales en la Escuela de Educación Media 3 DE 7, escuela Bachiller orientada en Artes y Medios.

Ariel Ballester was born in Buenos Aires, Argentina in 1977.
He studied photography in the school of Photographic Art and Audiovisual
Techniques in Avellaneda, Argentina.
During 2000, 2001, 2002, 2007, 2008 he collaborated as the assistant of professorship with
the professor Daniel Galeano Professor of history of the photography in the same school.
He has done different courses and related seminars with photography.
In the 2005 he carried out a documentary workshop with Chris Steele-Perkins (Magnum Photos).
The same year he collaborated for the execution of the documentary World Aside, which was
carried out in the trinity penal youth center in Barcelona.
In 2007 I perform a contemporary photography with Ignacio Iasparra workshop
Since 2007 it coordinates educational photography in the workshops of Visual arts Ojo de Pez,
carried out in Hidden City from a Proposal of Centro Conviven (Arg). In 2008 he made fallbacks as Professor teaching history of photography in ARGRA (Association of reporters graphics of Argentina) school.
From 2009 is Professor of Visual Arts at the school of average education 3 District 7, hight school oriented arts and media.)
